Just a little sports chatter

Ok, this topic has been on my mind for some time now and I finally stop procrastinating about it and figured I would write something down about the damn thing. If I had enough juice, what I am about to write is what I would change about some of the sports that we watch and love.  Might as well get this started… Football Bring back group celebrations, hell celebrations in general: This is like a major must, you ever watch other leagues like the Arena league or the CFL bust a move? I mean they come up with some good stuff, my favorites being while I was a intern with the Chicago Rush. Why does the NFL and College make it a major no-no? Bring back the "dirty bird" or let a fucking punter celebrate when he scores on the best fake out ever? I loved when Rex Ryan damn near ran on the field to celebrate with his team in the playoffs, but did it really need a flag? Now things like taunting and just putting the other team down should be flagged, also stupid stuff like div...

Forgive me for my pretty lame title (that really isn't the point of this) but this is the first official topic I'm talking about. We all know about the recent conference alignment how how it has pretty much affected all of Division I athletics, we know most of the changes have been football driven because lets face it, that's where the big bucks come from. Now in the case of the Summit League the changes are more basketball, regional based, or out of necessity reasons. And this blog is to talk about what those changes have done and how Western Illinois holds the key to the future of the Summit League. Before I explain how, a bit of background. So my name is Phillip Parr and I pretty much think about sports all day, everyday. I played football all the way up till college, I watch as many different sporting events as possible and I do whatever I can to keep myself as informed as possible when it comes to sports. But like most of us who follow sports in any sort of capacity, or anything else for that matter, I, you, me, us have an opinion.
